DATA RECOVERY:

Data Recovery requires a non-refundable evaluation fee of $50.00
- The process of evaluating a drive to determine recoverability will take 7 business days. We do a seven pass inspection on the drive to determine the problem and solution.
- When you bring in, or send in, your hard drive or computer you also need to bring in, or send in, something to put the recovered data on such as CD/DVDs, USB Flash Drive, External Drive, etc. If you don't have something to put the recovered data on, we can provide that for you at an additional cost.
Here's what we do: We try several ways to get to the data without opening the drive - if we can't get to the data without opening the drive, we'll call you first and let you know so that YOU can decide what you want to do at that point. If we cannot get the data without opening the drive and you choose NOT to send it to the clean room, the charge is just the $50 evaluation fee and no more.
- A "clean room" is dust-free environment. When a drive needs to be opened to access the platter(s) or other internal parts, the clean-room ensures the data won't be damaged in the process. Now, because clean-rooms are expensive to setup and maintain, thats why data recovery can be so expensive - but we give YOU the option to make the spending decision BEFORE clean-room facilities are used - alot of other places won't do that for you.
I'd love to tell you data recovery is cheap, in most cases, it costs around $200 which actually IS cheap compared to what others will charge you. However, there are times where you should be prepared to pay between $850 and $900 i.e. when we have to open the drive in a clean-room environment; but again, we let YOU make the spending decision BEFORE clean-room facilities are used and charged to you.
